New Project Evaluation Procedure
Our six-stage evaluation procedure is geared toward moving the project (and the entrepreneur) through as quickly -- yet as critically -- as possible. The entire evaluation procedure takes between three and six months, depending on the project.
Stage 1: Initial Proposal
The entrepreneur contacts Lior Yankelson, Misgav Venture Accelerator's business development manager, to present one or more of the following:
- An executive summary in Hebrew or English
- Initial Project Proposal
- 1-Minute Elevator Pitch
- PowerPoint presentation
Stage 2: Initial Observation
Within two weeks of receiving the proposal, Misgav's management reviews the application and sends a response (usually by phone). If a follow-up meeting is required to make a decision, it is scheduled within a short time.
Stage 3: In-depth Due Diligence
Misgav's management (CEO or business development manager) accompanies the entrepreneur to a consultation session with the incubator's advisory board, Trendlines consultants, or leading professionals in the field. During this stage, a full patent search is conducted by a certified patent attorney of Misgav's choosing.
Stage 4: Investment Committee
The entrepreneur presents the project to the Misgav Investment Committee, which makes its decision with input from Misgav's management.
Stage 5: OCS Examiner Review
The project is reviewed by an examiner from the Office of the Chief Scientist.
Stage 6: OCS Incubator Committee
During this stage, the project is presented to the OCS Incubator Committee. This Committee makes its decision based on the examiner's opinion and report.
After completing this procedure, the project can begin operating within the framework of the incubator.
